1. Our Products
a) Descriptions and Photography
All products sold by DIY Blinds are accurately displayed on our website through photography or digital renders. However, monitor settings and lighting conditions may cause slight variations in colour and shading. We strongly recommend requesting a free sample before ordering to ensure you’re satisfied with the colour and quality. While we endeavour to match samples and descriptions exactly, minor variations—such as dye saturation on fabrics or natural grain differences in timber—do not constitute grounds for rejection.

b) Measurements
Many of our products are made to your exact specifications. It is your responsibility to measure correctly. If you are unsure how to measure, please consult our online measuring guide or contact Customer Service before ordering. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for incorrect measurements once an order has been placed.

c) Made-to-Measure Products
Custom-made items are bespoke to your requirements and cannot be cancelled or returned once manufacturing has begun. Please double-check product selections and measurements before confirming your order. We encourage you to order a free sample to verify fabric and colour, as dissatisfaction with style or shade does not qualify for a refund.

d) Skylight Blinds
We accept returns on our own-brand skylight blinds within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused and in a resalable condition. Contact us at info@diyblind.co.uk to arrange your refund. You are responsible for the return postage; once we have inspected and approved the return, we will refund the full product cost plus original delivery fee.

e) Tolerance
Fabric and soft-furnishing products are cut to within a tolerance of ±5 mm (±30 mm on curtains). Orders within this tolerance are deemed accurate and cannot be rejected on size grounds.

f) Fabric Batches
Due to dye batch variations, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match for repeat orders. If your sample does not fully represent the pattern or shade, please contact Customer Service for guidance before ordering.


2. Order Processing and Our Contract
a) Order Cancellation or Amendments
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, made-to-measure goods are excluded from the 14-day cancellation right once manufacturing has started. You may cancel or amend your order before production begins—contact us immediately to check status. If goods have already been manufactured, we cannot issue a refund.

b) Telephone Orders
When ordering by phone, our advisors will read back your choices in full. Please check your confirmation email carefully; we cannot accept claims for errors after your approval.


3. Prices
The price payable is as shown at checkout (inclusive of VAT) and confirmed in your order email. Delivery surcharges for certain regions (e.g., Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands) will be communicated post-order; you may cancel if you do not accept any additional fees.


4. Payment
Orders are processed only once full payment is received via debit/credit card, PayPal, Clearpay or Apple Pay. All transactions occur over secure (SSL) connections. You authorize payment at the time of order, and liability does not exceed the total order value.


5. Acceptance
DIY Blinds reserves the right to cancel your order if:

  • We cannot source sufficient stock to fulfil it.

  • You have selected an address outside our delivery zone.

  • The product has been discontinued.

  • A pricing or system error has occurred.

In such cases, we will notify you promptly and offer a full refund.


6. Delivery of Your Goods
Estimated dispatch times are shown on each product page (working days from cleared payment). Dispatch estimates may be extended during peak seasons (e.g., holidays). A precise dispatch date is available via our Order Tracker once your purchase is confirmed. Delivery is to mainland UK only, unless otherwise agreed. DIY Blinds is not liable for delays beyond our control; please ensure products are checked on arrival before booking any installers.


7. Defective and Damaged Goods
If you receive damaged or faulty goods, please email info@diyblind.co.uk or call Customer Service within 30 days of delivery. We may request photographs or the return of items for inspection. Once reported, your 30-day period pauses; after we provide a repair or replacement, you will have the remainder of your original 30 days (or a further 7 days, whichever is longer) to confirm satisfaction or reject the remedy. This does not affect your statutory rights.


8. Guarantee
DIY Blinds products include a 1 year manufacturer’s guarantee plus an additional 4 years on parts (total 5 years). We reserve the right to repair or replace faulty components, which may require returning the product for inspection. This does not affect your statutory rights.


9. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.

We collect personal data (name, address, contact details, payment information) solely to process orders and provide service. We will never share your details without consent. We use cookies to improve site functionality; you may disable cookies via your browser settings.
